I’ve been smitten with the romance of registry weddings ever since I watched Alabama Whitman marry Clarence Worley wearing blue high-heeled ankle boots and a leopard print coat, on a freezing cold day in downtown Detroit, (and if you’ve no idea what I’m talking about, then make Tarantino’s ‘True Romance’ the next movie on your watch-list); and so, when Greg and Irina asked me to photograph their intimate marriage ceremony in the elegant Vevey town hall, with champagne and cake in the park afterwards, I couldn’t wait for the day to come!
