It was such a pleasure to be invited to photograph the end of year Prizegiving Ceremony of Le Régent International School in stunning Crans Montana, Valais, Switzerland. Le Régent is a young school, founded in 2015, and this Ceremony was particularly special insofar as it witnessed its first graduating class who had undertaken their whole secondary education at the IB establishment.
I was absolutely charmed by the warm, welcoming and enthusiastic atmosphere created by the students, staff and all the guests, and even found myself trying not to shed a tear as the students’ compilation film of the year was played on a big screen! Afterwards, I photographed the inauguration of the new sports field, trying not to get hit by the ball already being kicked about by students delighted with their new facilities…
As Le Régent is currently part of a collaborative coaching project with Le Rosey, one of the oldest independent schools in the world, in order to benefit from Le Rosey’s expertise and educational values, I’m sure this special school will continue to prosper, and wish the graduating class of students all the best for a happy and successful future!
